#1 trait you should look for! Resilience

It took 18 months to do what usually takes 45-60 days!

In his book “WINNING” Tim Grover described resilience as the following:

“Resilience is the power to stay in the fight when your fear is telling you to run. Its the ability to see everything that can go wrong, and still get control of what can go right.”

“Resilience is knowing that when everything goes from bad to worse, and you have every reason to fall apart, you don’t.”

“When you’re backed into a corner, when you realize things are about to go against you… put your resilience to work and keep going.”

So I pose the question, wouldn’t you want an individual or company working for you whose team prides themselves on being resilient??

It’s a rare characteristic. It's the one that has the “fewest people and the greatest results.”

My team at American Annuity Funding just had to show its resilience with our most recent customer. The average transaction timeline is roughly 45-60 days, and in my 7 years in this industry I have never experienced anything like this.

It took 18 months! Starting around the beginning of Covid, dealing with shutdowns and court delays until the pandemic was under control. Months of backed up courts due to this issue. Then the judge assigned to our case retired just prior to our hearing and we had to reset all over again until a new judge was appointed to our case.

We could’ve given up. Our customer almost did, thought it wasn’t meant to be. But, we all showed our resilience and made the best of a bad situation and helped our customer accomplish his goal! Now nearly $500k is coming his way.

If you have an annuity, pick a company that shows resilience! This goes with anything in life though, it’s not always smooth sailing. You must expect the unexpected. Anyone can give you a quote, but NOT everyone can overcome obstacles and push through to get you approved on your transaction. That takes expertise and as you see, Resilience.
